Speak Up
Judging by the mumblings of some of our politicians, it is about time the art of public speaking was reintroduced into the school curriculum. In fact, attempts are being made to focus on this very valuable skill by an organization called the English Speaking Union (ESU). From March 17 to 21, the ESU’s Munich branch will be holding a competition for students selected from the city’s high schools, at which these young people
will have the chance to demonstrate their oratory skills in public. First and second prize are a week-long trip to London. If
