Jackie Mason gives a benefit performance for Kosovp relief.
On July 6, the Keren Hayessod, (United Israel Appeal) of Munich will sponsor a performance by Jewish stand-up comedian Jackie Mason at the Münchner Volkstheater on Brienner Straße. The 69-year-old former rabbi has been cutting up crowds with his ethnic humor since his vocation switch during The Ed Sullivan Show glory days of television comedy. Though today mainly a Broadway star, Mason still entertains worldwide audiences with his caustic comedy routine — often to benefit good causes. Keren Hayessod is the world’s largest non-political Jewish organization. It is responsible for supporting Jews throughout the world, especially those wishing to emigrate to Israel. The proceeds from Mason’s appearance will go to an aid fund for the Jews of Kosovo and Belgrad. Tickets, DM 60-150, are available through Keren Hayessod, tel. (089) 91 04 97 57
