Spring into Action
Inofficially known as “the little sister to the Oktoberfest,” Munich’s spring festival, the Frühlingsfest, offers a great opportunity to get out, meet friends and enjoy the convivial atmosphere that can only be found at this kind of celebration. Grab a
Mass and
Brotzeit (open sandwich) and settle down at one of the tressle tables or try out one of the stomach-churning rides at the funfair. For the penny-pinchers and the poverty-stricken this year will prove especially attractive as the motto is “Stabile Preise” (stable prices), which means that most food, drinks and rides will cost the same as last year or even marginally less. The Frühlingsfest is held on the Theresienwiese, and this year lasts from April 20 until May 5.
