If you spent the summer glued to the air-conditioning, afraid to venture out because of the heat, you probably missed the streetlife festival in early August. Never mind, though, because a second festival will be held on the weekend of September 6 and 7. Most of the Leopold- and Ludwigstrasse will be closed off to traffic, allowing locals and visitors to stroll along these two historic streets, taking in street theater and live music, enjoying the food on offer and perusing the stalls selling wares. The theme of this month’s festival is “mobility and the environment” and local groups will be hosting discussions on these subjects. For those who live in the area, remember that the traffic ban lasts from 4 pm on Saturday to 8 pm on Sunday. For more information on events go to
