For decades Germany suffered a bad reputation for customer service. Thankfully in recent years much has been done to remedy this and the saying “der Kunde ist König” (the customer is king) has begun to be taken seriously. The friendly Tourist Office in Munich is also doing its best to keep customers happy and has now instituted a call center that operates on Saturdays—before it was only on week days—for visitors to the city. The call center is now open every Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm while Monday to Friday opening times have been extended from 8 am to 7 pm. In any one of six languages (German, French, English Spanish, Italian and Arabic) employees will now answer your questions on well-known sights, local events and help you book a hotel room.
