If you would like to get a head start on your Christmas shopping instead of leaving it all until the last couple of frenzied days, the Christkindlmarkt on the Fraueninsel in Chiemsee opens on November 28. As well as the stalls there will be exhibitions, live music, food and drink, concerts, a choir and a daily kid’s program. The location is a piece of winter wonderland perfection and is sure to encourage even the most incorrigible
scrooge to get into a festive mood. The Christkindlmarkt is open November 28-30 and December 5-7, Friday 2-7 pm,
