Future Pastimes
Wet winter weekends are the bane of family life. Even the most imaginative parent will feel the strain of trying to entertain their offspring sensibly when it is cold, raining or foggy outside, or, even worse, a combination of all three. This winter the Haus der Kunst is offering the perfect antidote to this type of misery in the shape of weekend workshops. The project Utopia Station has been up and running since September and gives children the chance to express their vision of the future through art. Using material provided by the Haus der Kunst, youngsters can create buildings, drawings and posters depicting the future as they imagine it. On November 29 a selection of pieces will be auctioned to raise money for the charity Children for a Better World. The workshops are divided up according to ages and there are also courses for children with disabilities aged 10 to 14 years, as well as for school classes and private groups.
