April 2004

What would our favorite movies be without a soundtrack? Would Queen Latifah be as sexy just talking in
Chicago and would
Gone with the Wind be quite so epic with no violins in the background? For those of you who understand and appreciate the power of music in films, the weekend of April 2–4 promises a special treat. The Orchestra of the Staatstheater Gärtnerplatz will perform a repertoire of hits from Hollywood 20th-Century films at the Prinzregententheater. Compositions ranging from
Titanic and
Chicago to
Gone with the Wind are some of the highlights in what promises to be an interesting and toe-tapping evening. You may even want to bring along the kids to enjoy music from
Harry Potter and
Lord of the Rings. All concerts start at 7:30 pm, and it is advisable to book your ticket
ahead of time. For more information consult
