Did you know...
Two churches will be holding religious services in English over Easter: the Catholic Mission Pastoral Center will have services at Landsbergerstrasse 39 on Thursday, April 8, 7 pm; Good Friday, April 9, 3 pm; Saturday, April 10, 7:30 pm and Sunday 11 am. The 6 pm service on Easter Sunday will be held at Kreuzkirche (Kreuzstrasse 10). The Catholic Community of St. Bonifaz will be holding a service on Palm Sunday April 4, at 10:15 am and Easter Sunday Mass at 10:15 am. Both services are in the Crypt of the St. Bonifaz church (Karlstrasse 34).
The Bavarian branch of the English-Speaking Union is holding its annual public-speaking competition at the Amerika Haus on Tuesday, April 20. The winners and runners up—taken from German and international schools in Bavaria—then have the chance to participate in the international finals in London in May. The event begins at 5 pm, but space is limited so please arrive early.
Munich has a brand-new shopping mall. The Riem Arcaden are located opposite Munich’s trade fair halls (Messegelände) and can be reached by underground (U2 and U7, stop Messestadt West) or by car by taking the A94 (exit Messe Riem). 120 shops and restaurants are open Monday to Saturday until 8 pm.
