July 2004
Build Up
Munich’s Architecture Week is building on its own success—and spreading throughout Bavaria. The event was initially confined to Munich when it began in 2002. But it was
such a hit, that the Second Architecture Week, which takes place from July 9 to 17, will be extended to cover other Bavarian towns, including Bamberg, Augsburg, Würzburg and Landshut. Over the
course of the week there will be a series of presentations, discussions, readings, films and musical and theatrical performances, all dealing with current issues in the world of architecture and urban development. The event, which is organized by BDA Bayern, the City of Munich, the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and the Bavarian Building Authority, is aimed at anyone with an interest in architecture.
