Speak Easy
“Be yourself in English” is the motto of the English Summer Day Camps, and for children who already speak and understand English that shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Founded in the summer of 1999, with the aim of offering children (6–12) and youths (11–14) a summer day camp with native English-speaking personnel, the ESDC has already enabled 8,500 children to enjoy the summer-time activities in Germany and Austria. They offer a variety of programs in and around Munich, such as Summer Day Camps (Mon.–Fri. 9 am–5 pm), Overnight Camps and English Adventure Weeks, and they are now branching out into multimedia. Indoor and outdoor activities include everything from sports and ball games to dancing and singing and there’s even a “Big Finish” at the end of the program where parents are invited to watch performances. Spaces are limited so call Judith Goldblatt at (08091) 56 11 85 to sign up, or visit
