Suffering from beer-garden overload? Then why not try a taste of the Orient at the ninth German-Japan festival, this month? On Sunday, July 18, from 1 pm, visitors to the KonShuAn Tea House in the English Garden can take part in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, which are based on ancient Zen Buddhist rituals and aim to promote harmony and calm. The ceremonies will be led by experts trained at the Urasenke tea school in Kyoto, Japan, which is one of the biggest of its kind in the world. For details visit:
