Life beyond the Wies'n
If you need a break from all things Bavarian during the Oktoberfest, head for
the Ander Art culture festival 2004. The event, which is held annually on the second Saturday of the Wies’n, is aimed at celebrating Munich’s international cultural variety. It features a diverse program of performances, including Afghan dance, Brazilian samba, West African folk music, Turkish rock and international poetry and fairytale readings, to name but a few. Gourmet treats from around the world will also be on offer, as will a special program for children. The festival takes place between Odeonsplatz and Ludwigstrasse on Saturday, September 25,
from 12 pm to 9 pm. Admission is free.
