Munich goes science and technology crazy this month. From October 22 to 26 a series of events will be held at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität on Geschwister-Scholl-Platz, as part of the Münchner Wissenschaftstage (Munich Science Days). Focused on the theme of “Life and Technology,” the event is by no means just for technical whizzes. Instead it promises a fascinating insight into the use of science in every aspect of everyday life, from food and health to the environment, energy and computers, as well as looking at the latest developments in gene technology. For further information on the event, see
