Coming of Age
Peter Pan may never have grown old, but he’s certainly had many faces since his creation by J. M. Barrie in 1904. To mark the centenary of the play, which was first adapted into a book in 1906, Munich’s International Youth Library is holding an exhibition that charts the development of the children’s story over the years. As well as editions of the book in various languages, it also features a selection of the accompanying illustrations, some by renowned illustrators, such as Michael Foreman. The exhibition runs from October 18 to January 10, Mon.–Fri., 10 am–4 pm. The library is also hosting an exhibition featuring the original illustrations from Grimm’s fairy tales. The drawings, by Czech artist Adolf Born, are
on display from October 22 until December 20, between
10 am and 4 pm in the Wehrgang-Galerie.
