Love is in the Hair
Love is in the Hair
There’s more to hairdressers than perms, blue rinses and toupés. Though they may look innocent enough from the outside, most salons are chambers of intrigue, gossip and scandal, as customers pour their hearts out about who’s doing what, with whom. So what better location in which to set a play? “Figaro_ff, ein Frisierstück,” which is the creation of Munich theater director Annette Geller, is based on the story of Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro” and has been written in preparation for Munich’s “Year of Mozart” in 2006. Set in a hairdresser’s, it features three singers—a female stylist, a male customer and the stylist’s admirer. The show will premiere in Munich’s Neues Theater at Entenbachstrasse 37 from December 9 to 12 at 8:30 pm.
