Most of the time, visitors of art exhibitions may only contemplate the final versions of pieces. The first ideas sketched on paper, however, often open up further dimensions of the finished work. To bridge the gap between the art pieces and its earlier outlines, the show "Der Raum der Linie" (The Space of the Line) will present sketches and sculptures by American masters of the genre: Dan Flavin, James Turrell, Barry Le Va, Sol LeWitt and many others.
The exhibition will be on display as part of the American Summers series, which will also feature two solo presentations by John Chamberlain and Donald Judd. For more information, visit pinakothek.de/pinakothek-der-moderne.
