Listed by Downbeat for the last 10 years as one of the leading jazz clubs in the world, Unterfahrt presents live jazz seven nights a week at only a percentage of the entrance fee you would have to pay in the States or in the U.K. Situated in the vaults of the old Unionsbräu brewery in Haidhausen, the club hosts international jazz artists as well as local and German groups. KALYPSO
The atmosphere is fantastic in this Greek restaurant specializing in fish. Located near the Elisabethmarkt, it is a meeting place for the Schwabing bohème and they stage live jazz concerts and literary readings from time to time. You can watch the owner manning the grill himself in the evening, expertly preparing food while you sip your demestica.

JAZZ IS BECK
The fifth floor of the Ludwig Beck department store on Marienplatz is home to the largest collection of jazz CDs on sale in Germany. Displayed alphabetically and by genre, the inventory features both best-sellers and little-known gems. Another great advantage is that you can listen to CDs on-site, and the expert staff will happily give you tips on making your selection.
