backJapanese: Nipponoodles
Information:
Just recently Nipponoodles has opened with a daring conept: a Japanese restaurant without sushi! Instead, the new Schwabing place prides itself to be Munich's first ramen (noodle soup) eatery. Diners may choose from three different broths served with noodles and may individually add a selection of ingredients from fish and meat to vegetables. For those who prefer a broth-free dish, the restaurant offers yakisoba (fried noodles), which may be garnished after the same principle as the soups. Apart from this limited, but definitely tasteful menu, Nipponoodles also breaks with another local convention. Just like in its country of origin, slurping ramen is explicitly encouraged by the owners.
