Munich is certainly not short of Bavarian taverns. Unfortunately, though, even some of the most traditional restaurants have started to serve oven-ready Knödel (dumplings) and other pre-produced fares to deal with pork roast-loving crowds. In contrast, recently opened Klinglwirt prides itself to cook all of its Bavarian dishes from scratch. Consequently, Klinglwirt only offers a rather small selection of Bavarian cuisine prepared with organic products only. Also the drink menu remains authentic: apart from beer, only liquors of the region are served in this Haidhausen inn, whose interior design boasts a tasteful interpretation of traditional elements and modern architecture.
