A hangout for artists and intellectuals in the 1920s and 1930s, this boho spot takes its name from Simplicissimus, a satirical magazine that was banned by the Nazis. Today, Alter Simpl is a popular Schwabing meeting point for students, catering hearty Bavarian dishes.
