Located in the basement of the Haus der Kunst, P1 started out as a jazz club in 1949 for US soldiers and achieved cult status in the 1970s, when Mick Jagger and Freddy Mercury used to hang out here. Today, P1 is still known as the club with the city's most rigid bouncers. Once you are in, expect high prices for drinks and the usual mix of pop and rock sing along tunes.
